Kyrsta Morehouse is an award winning, internationally published makeup artist specializing in special makeup effects. About a year after she first found special effects, Kyrsta realized that she could turn her odd hobby into a career, and suddenly the future was clear. She attended a visual and performing arts high school and spent all her time pushing herself to learn as much as she could. Her junior year, she was hired as an intern for a special makeup effects lab three hours from her home. Soon after the internship ended, she was already getting jobs for independent films and theater productions as the makeup department head. 

 

After graduating high school, she immediately moved to Burbank, CA and enrolled in the master course at Makeup Designory. She competed in the IMATS London 2016 Battle of the Brushes for Character/Prosthetics taking second place, and the IMATS LA 2017 Battle of the Brushes for Character/Prosthetic taking first place. Now, Kyrsta is working full time and diving head first into all genres and styles of makeup as a beauty and special makeup effects artist. In 2019 Kyrsta began teaching makeup and has taught at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and The American Musical and Dramatic Academy - on the side from her set work. She now spends her time working photo shoots, movies, commercials, TV shows, music videos, other special events, and as a personal artist for celebrities. Filled with a drive and passion for makeup, she pushes herself everyday towards new adventures and challenges.
